Hello and welcome to "Meet the Humbled Bee Keeper!" Allow me to introduce myself, I am Cathy The Humbled Bee Keeper. I am a second generation bee keeper forever inspired by the legacy my father has given me, my love of bee keeping. I am very passionate about my work with bees and forever learning and discovering just how important these small insects are to our existence. I feel that I learn more from simply watching my bees then actually venturing into the hives. I decided to reach out with a blog to connect with people who share my love and interest in honey bees or bee keeping. My blog will include interesting stories about bee keeping, honey, or honey bees and will also include a recipe forum where recipes can be shared. My web site receives visitors from all over the world daily. I feel this is a fantastic way to connect and share as well as educate.
Winter in upon us. The Flu has become wide spread and many of us are reaching out for natural alternatives to help what may ail us. I have had so many people ask me about the uses of honey to suppress cough so I have included a link to direct you to a recipe supplied by THE NATIONAL HONEY BOARD for honey as a coughsuppressant (just click on the underscored word cough and it will direct you to the recipe.)
I would love to hear from you now. Some examples of the uses of honey and health care would be in wound dressing for its antimicrobial properties, as a cough suppressant or as an alternative sugar resource in recipes. How have you used honey during this winter season to assist in your health care?
